The main character is an American who was recently fired and has no prospects. The only job he can find is teaching English in Japan and decides to go, despite knowing nothing about the culture or not even speaking a word of the language....
You got fired recently, No money, no girlfriend, no prospects. You then see a woman looking for people to teach in Japan. The only problem? You don't know a single thing about Japan. Still, you find yourself taking the job. What's worse, you're stuck with two eccentric spirits for the next year.
